Onam is the festival celebrated in Kerala. It is also signified as the harvest celebration in Kerala. Malayalee group people enjoy it with full energy. Onam is celebrated for ten days. In this festival, everybody gathers and enjoys the festival which shows unity and integrity. Irrespective of any caste, creed, religion, or community, all Malayalee people group observes Onam with similar joy and excitement. My grandfather organizes an Onam party and calls all the relatives and neighbors and then we enjoy the festival. Every year for this festival we visit them and we are more excited to meet cousins and have got to together rather than celebrating this festival. We wear new dresses and gift each other sweets and this festival is devoted to King Mahabali. Kerala is also known as God's own country. To pursue the tradition everybody girl and women wear white sarees and vegetarian dishes is only served on the day. I enjoyed myself a lot with my cousins and family.
