Sometimes in the evening I meet my friends or neighbors before starting dinner. All of us girls take turns cooking according to the food schedule. My mother did all the chores when we were children; now it’s our turn. So two nights a week I cook dinner and two mornings I get up early to make the bread in the gas oven. I like to cook, especially delicious rice, but it is good that we have a schedule because none of us wants to cook all the time.
At 7:30 we pray, then we have dinner and at 9 there is a TV serial called Feriha. We girls love it. Feriha is a poor girl from Turkey—her father and mother are cleaners, but she was able to get into a famous university. She met a very rich boy, but she lied to him and the other students about her life, and told them her father was a businessman abroad. The boy fell in love with her, until he learned the truth and he became angry. It is still continuing, and it is really good drama.
