The floods in Kerela have caused a lot of destruction to the state but have also shown the unity of Indians in tackling this natural disaster.

The waves began in 15th August 2018 following a very heavy and unusual monsoon rainfall. It is the worst flood to hit Kerela in almost a 100 years.

Many people lost their lives, and many more lost their homes and possessions, but the flood has shown us that we Indians are strong and can survive anything.

The flood has also taught us how climate change threatens India.
