Dreams happen when we lay ourselves down to sleep. Sometimes these dreams turn into nightmares that they wake us up in the middle of the night. Sometimes the dreams are so good that we sleep the entire night. When we wake up from these dreams, we forget about them. However, there are those dreams that stay forever itched into the back of our memories as we try to dream of those dreams again. This is my unforgettable dream. A dream where life was simple and perfect. A dream with a life that doesn't fall apart.

It started as I was waking up from my sleep. It was at 5AM on a Monday. In the subconscious of my dream mind, I'm thinking, "Why am I up at 5AM on a Monday? Where do I work at? What's going on?" I, as her, began making my way to the kitchen, making coffee and my breakfast. I remember the exact details of what I was wearing for work. I wore a blue buttoned down flared long sleeved shirt dress. My face was a basic coat of make-up, with only foundation, eye-liner, and mascara. The minute I stepped outside, with the umbrella opened in my hand, I realized this was an entirely new world from the one I was living in my reality. I was living the dream. My dream.

Living in Seattle, Washington was my dream of all dreams. It was the place where I was going to start my career and live there for the rest of my life. "Is this where I live?" I thought to myself. My dream self was walking down the sidewalks, one handing holding her umbrella and the other clutching her handbag. The heavy rain didn't stop people from going out. Through her eyes, I could see the crowded streets of the city, filled left and right with cars and people walking. The bright lights from the street lamps and buildings made it easier to see in the darkest hour of the morning. She continued to walk down the sidewalk, making her way over to.... The Seattle Times.

It was back to me again. I looked up the building, still couldn't believe my eyes. I was here. I really really worked here. My dream self began to start her daily routine, getting coffee for her boss, keeping up with her boss's schedules, sorting out papers, and doing whatever needed to be done. It wasn't a top-notch job but my dream self was already content. She was already here at the Seattle Times. She was assistant but surely and steady, step by step, she knew she'll make it to the top as a writer. She was already living her dream, in a place where dreams could come true. Her dream came true. Her life was perfect and content. The dream began to fade as the sound of my alarm woke me up to my reality.
