Answer:

Why exams are not beneficial:

-They are biased in favor of individuals who are superior at memorization.

-Students never know what will be on the test beforehand; therefore they can never truly prepare properly

-Exam writers make exams difficult on purpose. They intentionally attempt to trick the test taker so the least amount of people possible pass the exam. This creates a paradigm where students are encouraged to fail rather than to succeed.

-Tests are not present in the job market. When a student ceases his education, he will never see a written exam again. However, he will potentially write reports and complete projects.

-Exams that do not involve concrete, quantifiable data are highly subjective. For example, any test question that states, “choose the BEST answer” is subjective. The “best” answer is arguable, and therefore meaningless.

-Exam questions often involve minutiae from obscure references that students usually overlook. These trivial items remain irrelevant beyond the scope of the exam.

-A person’s ability to take an exam does not reflect how successful they will be at their job. As mentioned above, tests do not exist beyond academia.

Originally Answered: why do students hate exams?

Students usually tend to hate exams because from the very beginning we have been made instilled a kind of negative image regarding exams , it all starts from our homes when our parents start with their expectations from us regarding our marks because if we fail they won't be able to face the society , as every society has some Mr. Sharma Ji’s son with a whopping first rank (P.S - No Offence to any sharma ji)

Secondly , it creates a kind of fear in our minds that if we don't perform well , we won't stand somewhere and life would turn out to be miserable.

Instead of seeing exams as a mere part of life we are treating exams as a paper shaping our destiny , so first parents need to understand that if their child isn't performing well in exams that doesn't mean he is a failure or he won't be able to do anything in life . It's Okay to fail.

Secondly , the day we see exams as just a part of life and not as our future maker , we will not hate exams , we will easily face them without any stress.
