Paragraph on reading..
Reading has at all times and in all ages been a great source of knowledge. Today the ability to read is highly valued and very important for social and economic advancement. In today’s world with so much more to know and to learn and also the need for a conscious effort to conquer the divisive forces, the importance of reading has increased. In the olden days if reading was not cultivated or encouraged, there was a substitute for it in the religious sermon and in the oral tradition. In the nineteenth century, Victorian households used to get together for an hour or so in the evenings and listen to books being read aloud, But ,today we not only read, we also want to read more and more and catch up with the events taking place around us.

Reading makes a man perfect - All of you may had heard this at least once. This sentence is perfect to show the importance of reading. For a student, Reading is most important as it improves thier vocabulary, grammar and knowledge automatically without they knowing it. Reading can be useful to us in many ways. As reading helps is to get knowledge, we can say that reading often changes the world as knowledge can really do it. Books are like a best friend of man who always gives him a lot of good things and entertain them too. But, in today's world, as usual, we can't say that reading decreased. We can say that social reading had lost its importance and individual reading didn't lost its priority yet. That is, even though libraries have reduced, we have a new world of reading and gaining knowledge, that is, Mobile phones, called he digital reading. This is one if the good uses of Reading. Many poets, social scientists, scientists, historians etc.. have a same opinion about reading - Only a good opinion.
