Heya mate

At our residence in Gurgaon, the millennium city, we made sure a small lawn space remained green by watering regularly. Spread few grains regularly on the lawn, on the compound and a small earthen pot. Placed a large earthen pot full of water in the shadow. That resulted in the flying beauties the birds visiting the space regularly individually as well as in small flocks.Birds visiting the garden regularly were Rose-ringed Parakeets, Jungle Babblers, Laughing Doves, Eurasian-collared Doves, Rock Pigeons, White-throated Kingfisher. The best was the Peafowl making our garden its own residence. This Juvenile Peafowl found safety, food, playing area and used to be there all day resting in the shadow during sunny hours. Dancing in the garden to naturally flaring its feathers to scare away even smaller birds competing for the grains and territory. It used to pluck & eat all the fresh leaves of the plants. We were happy instead of being annoyed by it. It was like a routine for us to see them every day. Wondering what is wrong if they did not show up some day
