write a paragraph on a humorous incident
Answers
Answer:
This incident took place last year on a February morning. A friend of mine and I were waiting for a bus at the bus stop. We were going to our school. The bus did not come for half an hour, so my friend stopped a rickshaw to reach there.
The rickshaw was running quite fast. We hoped to reach school very soon. But, just a few minutes later, we saw a fat man on the road waving to the rickshaw. He even folded his hands to us. I asked the driver to stop the rickshaw at once. He stopped it near the fat man who begged us to take him to the hospital five kilometers away from the place. We were eager (anxious) to know why he was going to the hospital. He told us that his fatness was his disease, the mother of all diseases. He was to have it cured. For that, he was going to visit a famous doctor in the Civil Hospital.
The fat man sat on the seat and we felt his heavyweight pressing us. The rickshaw went two kilometers at a low speed. Then suddenly one of its tires burst. It was an old or worn-out tire. The driver cried and said that it was the fat man’s weight responsible for that. We jumped out of the rickshaw in haste. The fat man tried, but could not come down. So, we pulled him out with great difficulty and placed him on the roadside.
My friend and I knocked at a house. As two men came out, we asked them to help us in taking the fat man to the hospital. They agreed and readily brought out their car and drove us to the hospital together with the fat man. Afterward, they dropped us at our school. We went to our classes laughing at the funny happening on the way. But we were also serious about it. We went on thinking about the sick fat person.
After our classes in school, we went to the hospital to inquire after the sick fat man. We found him in the medical general ward on a comfortable bed. He told us that his blood pressure was high, and he was having some medical tests. We offered him all possible help and promised to come to him again. The man gave his address and invited us to his house after his discharge from the hospital.
I learned a lesson that day that I can never forget there is nothing better than social service. We should live for others as much as we do for ourselves. We should be helpful to the suffering humanity. The incident described in the essay may be quite interesting. However, it has a deeper meaning for those who feel the pains of others.
hope it is helpful
