It was a long day and I have been going back to my hostel after my tuition ended. I was too tired, my body wasn't cooperating with me, I just wanted to go home and sleep. The path I usually go walking was having the road being setup so I had to choose another road to walk which was much longer. While all these thoughts were going on my I realized that the road I was passing by was very dark and empty, strange! even though it was dark but it was still 6 pm in the evening. It should be filled with people. All the shops were closed and the houses had no light inside them. It gave me a strange chill down my spine. The road was deserted. I suddenly felt that someone was following me, I could see the shadow of the figure behind me. I started walking faster, and eventually I started running, the books I had on my bag were too heavy, it made my running harder. The road never seemed to end, it kept on going on and on. I gathered all my courage and ran with all the strength left inside my body. I reached home and shut the door behind me, I was panting, I was too tired to think what happened so I immediately went to my bed and slept. The next morning there was news that the road that I was going in last night had a robber who escaped from jail and went on killing people after following them, I was scared to death!
Since then I never go out of my house without a pepper spray.
