It was about 5:30pm. Darkness was descending.I was returning from school through a lonely road in our small town.A little distance away in front of me an old man was hobbling along with a stick in his hand.Suddenly I heard the sound of a speeding car behind me.It went past me.As the car disappeared I found the old man lying on the road in a pool of blood.I ran to help him.He was bleeding profusely from the wound.The man was in great pain.I was confused and did not know what to do.Suddenly I saw another car coming down the road.I showed the wounded man urged the driver to help me carry the man to the Hospital.The driver was a very sympathetic man.He agreed to help me.Then we lifted the wounded man carefully to the car and rushed to the Hospital.All the way I kept prying to God to let the man survive.We reached the Hospital and admitted the man.When the attending doctor declared that he was out of danger, I went back to home.The man was released after 2 days.I was very happy that I was able to save a life.
