I was studying in first standard. Our school teacher gave one card ( its a document) for everyone and told us to get signature for it from our parents.

I told my father about this. He looked into the card and with a weird expression he said" I will not sign this."

I said OK and I forgot about it.

The next day the teacher asked us to give back the cards. She found out that some of students forgot to put signature of their parents. She started beating them.

I was worried a lot. My friends said definitely I am going to get beaten. I didn't know what to do? One of my friend said you itself put your dads signature. I thought about it and wrote my fathers name in it.

At that time we are only allowed to use pencil. I just learned how to write few days before itself. So just imagine my fathers signature.

Teacher called me and I gave her the card. She asked whether my father signed this? I said "Yes miss" with full confidence.

Teacher became very angry and started beating me. She pushed out of my class. And told me to go home and come along with my father or else don't come at all.

I ran home. I was crying and running. I told my mother. Mother told my father. Father came with me. Teacher showed him the signature. He said nothing. Then they talked a bit and everything was over.

I remember this because of that intensity of the situation. I lost all my confidence because of some stupid teachers. I look around and see now also no one respects small children.
