These toxic gases are called greenhouse gases, and once the heat gets stuck inside them, it remains like that. The temperature of our planet keeps increasing, which can have very harmful effects on Earth and us. Some examples of greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide.
There are many causes of global warming other than the greenhouse effect. The biggest causes of global warming are deforestation, factories, electricity wastage, etc. Deforestation reduces the number of trees, which means there will be more carbon dioxide in the air. Factories produce a lot of greenhouse gases, and most electricity requires burning fossil fuels. Even this releases harmful gases which are not good for our planet. Animals on farms release methane, a greenhouse gas, which is why farming is also a cause of global warming.
