Answers
Answer:
Throughout its long history, Earth has warmed and cooled time and again. Climate has changed when the planet received more or less sunlight due to subtle shifts in its orbit, as the atmosphere or surface changed, or when the Sun’s energy varied. But in the past century, another force has started to influence Earth’s climate: humanity.

What is Global Warming?
Global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earth’s average surface temperature over the past century primarily due to the greenhouse gases released by people burning fossil fuels.
How Does Today’s Warming Compare to Past Climate Change?
Earth has experienced climate change in the past without help from humanity. But the current climatic warming is occurring much more rapidly than past warming events.
Why Do Scientists Think Current Warming Isn’t Natural?
In Earth’s history before the Industrial Revolution, Earth’s climate changed due to natural causes unrelated to human activity. These natural causes are still in play today, but their influence is too small or they occur too slowly to explain the rapid warming seen in recent decades.
How Much More Will Earth Warm?
Models predict that as the world consumes ever more fossil fuel, greenhouse gas concentrations will continue to rise, and Earth’s average surface temperature will rise with them. Based on plausible emission scenarios, average surface temperatures could rise between 2°C and 6°C by the end of the 21st century. Some of this warming will occur even if future greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, because the Earth system has not yet fully adjusted to environmental changes we have already made.
How Will Earth Respond to Warming Temperatures?
The impact of global warming is far greater than just increasing temperatures. Warming modifies rainfall patterns, amplifies coastal erosion, lengthens the growing season in some regions, melts ice caps and glaciers, and alters the ranges of some infectious diseases. Some of these changes are already occurring.

Global Warming
Answer:
Global warming refers to the gradual increase in the earth’s temperature, generally caused due to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants. It is caused by deforestation, consumption of vehicles, CFCs, the development of industries, increasing population and environmental pollution etc. The rise in carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels causes a significant temperature rise. It is because it stays concentrated in the atmosphere for many centuries. Humans are responsible for the growth in atmospheric concentration through activities including burning fossil fuels for transportation, heating, and electricity production. Freshwater marshes, low-lying cities, and islands have all been flooded by seawater, causing the sea levels to rise steadily. Changes in rainfall patterns have caused flooding in some areas and droughts and fires in others. Polar bears are in danger because the ice caps are constantly melting and shortening their foraging season. Glaciers are melting over time. As a result of the widespread habitat loss, animal numbers are slowly dwindling. It is required nations to reduce their emissions, as per the Kyoto Protocol. Planting more and more trees with reduced reliance on coal-fired electricity is necessary, along with increased use of wind and solar energy and high-efficiency natural gas generation.
Explanation:
- A series of sentences concerning the same subject is called a paragraph. As practically everything we write, including answers, essays, stories, emails, etc., is written in paragraphs, this style of writing is crucial. We might say that the foundation of successful writing is a well-structured paragraph.
- The objectives of the paragraph are to provide information, explain something, create a story, and persuade the reader that our notion is sound.
- A longer piece of writing, such as stories, novels, essays, creative writing, or professional writing, is segmented into paragraphs to make it easier to read and comprehend.
- Structure of a Paragraph- A paragraph has three major parts-
1. Topic sentence
2. Supporting sentences
3. Concluding sentence
