Sand, space and silence: A journey into Rajasthan’s Thar Desert.
SEPTEMBER 26, 2012JOURNEYS - THROUGH INDIA
“I have always loved the desert. One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing. Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams…”
“I saw the whole world in the desert and discovered that the world is too small. In fact, I thought that I was travelling alone, BUT ended up bagging experiences from some lovely people from all across the world including England, Sweden, Denmark, Korea, Italy, France, and Indians as well, off course. This has made the trip to Jaisalmer during the Desert Festival more like a World Tour amid the Rajasthani tinges and tunes.”

There are two types of desert hot and cold desert. In winter vacation me and my family visited to the Thar Desert. it is very hottest and largest desert of India.
I visited here with my family, I really enjoyed there. In winter , that is very hot ..
I used fan and a.c. in winter..
I never visited such a wonderful desert.
Many tribals and banjaras lived there.
Their traditional dress and language is different. I wore the rajasthani dress.
It is really very nice and interesting.
I wanted to visit there once again.
