"Namami Barak" means "To pay tribute to the River". The Festival will showcase the Trade, Tourism, different cultures & tradition Of Barak Valley, Assam.
The Theme Song has been composed by Debojit Saha.
The Government of Assam is organizing “Namami Barak 2017” in 3 districts of Barak Valley, Assam namely Cachar, Hailakandi and Karimganj with central venue at Silchar with effect from 18th Nov to 20th Nov,2017.
The event proposes to be a mix of live musical and dance performances, exhibitions, displays of crafts, handlooms etc., local cuisines of all tribes, film shows, fashion show, trade show, panel discussions, indigenous sports , international seminar to be attended by experts from across the globe
