Bengal had always been eyed as a threat to the Birtish Empire.

Lord Curzon and his advisers had a feeling that Bengal was slowly getting stronger and may be a cause for trouble in future.

Also, the Bengali's were pioneers in painting the nationalistic and patriotic feeling all across the country.

The final assessment of British Empire was that Bengal united is a power but Bengal divided will definitely pull in different ways.

Therefore, Curzon and his company wanted to split Bengal into fragments and weaken it. They sent the final proposal to London on June 1st 1903.

They finally received the decision for separation on 19th July 1905.

The government had no idea about the stormy political movement that the Bengal Partition would lead to.
