One April Fools’ Day we were visiting Grandma. Grandma was obsessive about cleaning her house; the type of person that cleaned the back of the fridge and the top of kitchen cabinets once a week, and cleaned the windows every single day.She had made pancakes for breakfast, and my younger daughter’s hands were all sticky from the maple syrup. I told her to wipe her hands clean before the syrup got on the furniture. She stood up, and with a mischievous look, proceeded to wipe her hands on the sparkling clean sliding glass door. I scolded her and told her to wash her hands in the sink and that she needed to clean the glass! I asked where they kept the Windex, and got it out from under the sink, and handed it to my daughter. She sprayed some on the glass, then sniffed it and said “Mmmm; this smells really good” then suddenly sprayed some into her mouth! Everyone gasped as she proceeded to remove the sprayer from the bottle and gulp down several big gulps of the Windex. I grabbed the bottle from her, then sniffed it and said “You’re right; it does smell delicious”, and I proceeded to guzzle down half the bottle!Mayhem was breaking out and Grandma was starting to dial 911 when we yelled “April Fools!” and revealed the truth; we had purchased another bottle of Windex, poured out all of the Windex and cleaned it thoroughly, then replaced it with blue Gatorade!
