Safe drive save life is a major step taken by the Government of West Bengal. The act was launched on 8th July, 2016 by the Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Srimati Mamata Banerjee to reduce the road accidents and save life.
Now a days it becomes a cause of fear to go out on the road. The only reason is road accidents. According to survey in our country five peoples die every hour because of road accidents. So, it has been becoming a great concern that how to solve this problem. By the act"safe drive save life" West Bengal Government has taken some rules to resolve it. In this rules bikers are advised to put on helmet and car drivers are advised to take their seat belt when they are driven on the road. They are said not to drive in drunkenness. The petrol pump owners are instructed not to offer fuel to those bikers who don't wear a helmet
