Wildlife Conservation
Wildlife, like trees, is also a domestic asset that not only helps to maintain the ecological balance but also benefits from financial, recreational and aesthetic points of perspective. There was a time when the number of wild animals was quite large when human interference was minimum and there was no issue with their safety or conservation. But, with the development of farming, settlement, industrial and other development activities, and primarily due to man’s greed, the number of wild animals gradually decreased and decreased. As a consequence, several animal species have become extinct and several are on the brink of being so. The Wildlife Conservation Essay is an insight into the requirements of conserving wildlife globally.
Explanation:
Mahatma Gandhi said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." The manner in which animals are being treated
mercilessly in our country reflects we are barbarians. Quite ironically it is man who is treating animals savagely. He seems to have forgotten the fact they are his fellow-inhabitants of the planet earth. 67% + Man is the most dangerous animal that has ever lived on planet! That is what is written in a zoo at Lusaka, in Zambia. No other animalhas done so much damage to the planet asman! He has denuded forests from the face of earth; in his blind race of industrialization he has polluted the very air we breathe. The innocent animals in the forests have been dragged to theverge of extinction. Still his hunger isunsatisfied! He has made the sacred commerce. For him animals are raw and merchandise! Any animal perception, is gone forever. The fur animals such as foxes, minks, rabbits, wolves, cats, beavers, tigers, leopards, and many more, man hunts all of them for trading their furs in return for money! He forgets that these animals are an integral part of the ecological system.
The price of human greed is being paid by many innocent
animal species. Their population is getting depleted at an alarming rate. If the present state of affairs is allowed to continue, the next generation will not get to see the majestic animals even in the zoo. We must remember they are an integral and beautiful part of our life. Without them our life will become dull and boring.
Let's save them. Let's respect them. Otherwise what answer will we give to the Creator on the judgement day Who had given the humans the charge of looking after them?
