An Evening with Grandfather

Daily we have an evening, right ? But why am I mentioning that exact one ?

The reason because it was very special for me. I don't really have any exact word to share those moments but then too I am trying.

I had spend my time in studying the whole day. It was around 4 PM by then. I was tired a lot. I peeked out of my window and saw sun setting slowly set by then. I thought to take off from studies and get onto a break. My plan was not to watch Television since it would make me more tired. So, I went near my Grandpa and snuggled close to him. He asked me if I was free, and then I replied affirmatively. He loved me a lot and even I too. Forget all the relations, we were best friends first.

He comforted my feelings by putting his arms around me. I felt comforted and cosy. I went close to him more. All his dry hands which turned so due to his age were like feathers on my face. He asked me how feel my life as a child. I replied honestly since he was my bestie. I said that I get tired with works and sad due to scoldings. Even I asked him if I can avoid these. He explained me in a soft way and I understood. By then sun was almost set. There was a shade of orange and pink colours in the sky. Slowly cold and chilly winds started. Since we were sitting in our garden, our hairs started flying. We shared experienced tidbits forbidden by parents. We shared stories of past years with each other. He shared his experience as a child. His soft quivering voice took me to the past. Even he sang a song for me. I and he were silence for a minute,when we remembered Grandma. Literally tears came in our eyes.

That let me forget the temptations of televisions of video games. He shared his life experiences which can't be learnt from any book. He gave me moral values which I grasped happily. He even shared secrets which made us laugh together. We really enjoyed that moment. I was really thankful to him for such little pleasures.
