A school period is a block of time allocated for lessons, classes in schools.[1] They typically last between 30 and 60 minutes, with around 3-10 periods per school day. However, especially in higher education, there can be many more. Educators determine the number and length of these periods, and may even regulate how each period will be used. One common example of this practice is to designate at least one compulsory period a day for physical education.[2]

Most of us have an exciting experience of school days, don't you ? But yeah for me till now this is one of the great. Actually, the day before that day was very tiring. Since I had exam the next day, my that whole day went tiring.

I was literally bored and sleepy. But more than any pain I was scared of my exams. The reason because there was more syllabus and less days of preparation. Being aan average student, I feared for my marks.

Anyhow there was no other option. I had to face it. The next day came. My legs were shivering due to fear. Anyhow I entered my class and comforted my self on my bench. The examination was already scheduled. All the students were waiting with bated breath.

We heard voices of feets in corridor, and our heavy breathing started. We saw a shadow of person coming to our room and we sighed deeply. But luckily we felt little relieved when we saw another teacher coming instead of our assignment teacher. And finally teacher announced that our assignment teacher had to go out of station for three days due to an urgent work. This meant that we got three days extra for preparation. And those class periods of mam will be free due to her leave.

On hearing that news a relief swept over the heart. We felt like a sudden freedom. Our inner joy was no less than the joy which freedom fighters felt when India gained independence. Our greedy feeling of freedom made our temptations to make us take out story books from our bag. Since I was seated with my friend that day, I was poring over the pages of the boom very happily. We both were laughing over the comic dialogues. We were not the only one to enjoy that day. The murmuring voice of students increased by every second. It seemed we all were discussing in hushed voice. Then we heard teacher's voice which was to make us quiet.

Now we were left with only one joy. That was nothing except a puzzle game. I, my friend and other some students sitting nearby made each one of ourselves to immerse in puzzles played in paper. That was really a fantastic experience of us. We really enjoyed that day. As child I can't explain my real feeling of that day which was no less than a thirsty person getting enough water to drink.
