THE PROCESS OF WRITING

I'm sure that all of us at some point had to write down an essay of some kind. Be it in English, Hindi, Marati, Malayalam or whatever. It is essential that one knows how to write an essay as it plays a huge role in one's life when we are required to get a job. Going through a certain process of writing is something every sane person would do under normal circumstances. This is how I believe essays ought to be written

Before starting off on any essay one must always plan. Planning is important because without it your essay is just a jumbled mess of words making sentences that make no sense. Having an idea of what your essay is going to be like really helps keep you progressing as you write or type it out. Jot down all ideas that come into your mind. It gives you a general blueprint, which is very necessary.

Once you get a general idea of what you're going to do, you have to organise. You organise those ideas and make sure you put in all the points that you have thought of. Putting them in order and making sure that u know all the points in order is important. You don't have to write this down. You just have to number those ideas you jotted down earlier.

Once you're done with that you go ahead and think of suitable words. Make sure u can think of various synonyms for a word that you know is going to be used more than once. This makes it easier for you while writing down what you're thinking of and making it look fancy. Once you have done that, go ahead and write yourself a sample of what u are going to be writing. No, this is not the draft. Just those points you have jotted down with a few words in between giving a rather sketchy idea.

After you've done this, you are good to go write yourself a draft. A very messy copy of the original with how many every errors and mistakes. That eliminates the chances of you having to strike a word and make your fair essay (or whatever you are writing) look messy. Make sure you triple check your draft and write it down just another time to make sure you have everything you need on your fair copy. Add in extra ideas or points, make corrections and then read through the draft again. Revising your draft is important because it is what keeps your fair copy from having a million mistakes. Edit any mistakes you find, rewrite sentences to make them better and add in all necessary punctuations.

Now write or type your fair copy. Make sure you're careful, if you're writing. Once you're done writing it down, check again for mistakes and make sure you have all your points written down and everything in the right order with all necessary punctuations. If you're typing edit again and then print but if you're writing, you are going to have to rewrite it if you want it to be perfect and devoid of any mistakes and scribbling.

And that is on the process of writing. Not everyone follows these steps. Some people are born with the natural gift of being able to write an essay with no major planning or organisation. Having certain hints to help you along is in fact the best thing that can be done.

Hope this helps!!
