               Increasing Vehicles –a serious threat to life in cities

 

The ever increasing number of vehicles on Indian roads has jeopardized the lives of people. According to India Brand Equity Foundation 26.4 million automobiles were manufactured in India in the financial year of 2018. The  rise in number of  vehicles on roads leads to congestion of traffic. This further leads to accidents. Road Accident Statistics India has confirmed 1214 road accidents every day in India. 20 children in the age group 3 to 14 lose their lives every day due to these accidents.  Apart from the accidents, these vehicles cause enormous air pollution. This pollution further causes many life-threatening diseases. The government must make strict vehicle regulatory policies and expand roads and initiate tree planting drives in the cities.

With so many people buying cars and other kinds of vehicles for their personal convenience, the number of vehicles is increasing day by day.

This is having some serious issues on the environment.

The greenhouse gases that is getting emitted is increasing the earth's temperature hence the glaciers are melting and our ecosystem is becoming dis-balanced.
