UAE Space Era begins, next stop Mars:

Emirates space mission is called the “Hope” a small and hexagonal shaped spacecraft. It is built from aluminum so, that it is lightweight and but, yet carries all structural and technical requirements. It weighs about 1500 Kg, 2.37 m wide and 2.90 m tall. The spacecraft will enter the Mars orbit by 2021 marking the $50^{th}$ anniversary of founding UAE.

The spacecraft is set to be launched from India in July 2020. The primary objective of this mission is to ensure the country is a party to future space exploration missions across the globe and put, the UAE on the world platform to prove it is more than an oil-producing country.
