It was the time of December, I witnessed a candle march near Delhi station. It was for the Nirbhaya case. The ambiance was totally full of silence and thousands of women were walking with candles. Some of them were carrying placards with the slogans on women's safety.
This procession was conducted against women's status in society nowadays. People were too much unsatisfied with the service of the police and the judiciary system. They were questioning the law which cannot give justice to the victims of the country. They were also spreading information on the necessity of teaching boys to respect girls from their very childhood.

Today I went to witness a candle march observed for the cause of women's safety. The crowd was enormous, it feels good to see the youth of the country standing for the rights of women. The crowd came together to put forward the question that why are the authorities silent against women's status in society. Current incidents of misconduct have once again made the general population question the adequacy of women's safety in the city. Various safety norms have been created but they are just on paper. Although the government has launched a helpline service named Nirbhaya, which has come into action to help women in the time of need. Law and regulation have been in place forever and have always supported women, but what is actually needed is that we teach our kids, especially boys to respect women from childhood.
