• The type of wool that makes pashmina is the cashmere wools. These fabrics are obtained from the wools of cashmere goats known as the pashmina goat or the changthani goats and generally hail from the Ladakh region of J&K.
• These wool are very fine and the shawls woven are also very thin. However, the work done by the Kashmiri artisans are exquisite and the price of these shawls are extremely high.
