My visit to Dharamshala was very different from any other place of interest that I have ever visited.

Dharamshala is a city in Himachal Pradesh. We drove to Dharamshala by road. Once there, I was excited to explore the city. The city is comparatively quiet, and has a distinct Buddhist flavour. A visit to the monastery offered solace, while the Norbulingka Institute gave an insight into a range of arts and crafts. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to sign up for a workshop, but I enjoyed the ambiance there nevertheless. The city gets its charm from the old traditional market and narrow streets, while still offering modern amenities at eateries and hotels.
