It was the foundation day of our beloved institution on 2nd June this year. The principal issued a notice to perform some cultural activities and our class teachers were constantly reminding us about sending those activities after recording those within the given period of time. I thought to record a poem of mine written on Our School but at the same time I got shocked to think that the poem was composed before the pandemic when the school was on its own rhythm. Many of my friends already sent theirs but I couldn't. What an unproductive life the lockdown has brought to all of us! School going does not only mean to get accustomed with studies of our syllabi, but we get acquainted with so many other human and social things.
The foundation day got celebrated mechanically through video meet this year but my nostalgia forced me to shed some drops of tears. Were these tears for my captivity, or for longing for a life that still calls me?
