Hello all. I travelled in the very first ride of Hyderabad Metro Rail this morning (November 29, 2017) from Nagole to Ameerpet.
I reached Nagole station by 5.55am, the train's schedule time is 6am. I hurried and thank God I already purchased a smart card 2 days ago, so there was no need to wait in the queue for a ticket. I rushed to the platform and got into the train. It was a dream come true. Hyderabadis have been waiting for almost ten years for this day. I was very happy and I could also see happiness in everyone's face. The train wasn't much crowded since it was early morning.
As soon as the train started it followed by a loud cheer by the passengers in the train. The journey was very comfortable and it was good to see the city view from that height. Also as per the rules photography is not allowed but I think since it was the first day they didn't care much and everyone was clicking pictures and selfies. It was awesome to see the train take curves, crossing ROBs and the incredible Oliphenta steel bridge. I reached Ameerpet and I didn't notice the exact time but I guess it took around 36 minutes. I exited with the smart card and it automatically deducted balance and I also got a 5 percent discount compared to the tickets purchased from counter.
After spending some time in Ameerpet station which is the biggest Interchange station I returned back in the train to Nagole. Many media channels were present at both the stations and covering the event live while asking the opinion of passengers.
I've clicked few selfies but I don't want to post them. Here is a picture of tracks that I clicked from the Ameerpet station.
Overall It was an Awesome Experience and a Very Memorable Day
