Honestly, I thought this was supposed to be a fun birthday, but I’m terrified. I think the thought of growing up has finally settled in. I will take my driver’s test not long after my birthday, I will be visiting a college that I’m considering, and I will have a checking account opened.
Another thing that’s made me realize I’m growing up is the fact that people don’t really care. Normally about a week before my birthday, I’ll receive about 15 birthday cards. I have only received one. Birthdays just aren’t that big of a deal as you get older, and I’m slowly adjusting to the fact that.. it’s okay. All in all, it’s just another day, but I’ll just be a little older.
