Otto Frank was a kind, smart, gentle and thoughtful man. He was generous and level headed too. Mr Frank always tried to save the best food for the children and took the smallest portion for himself. When he saw that the Jews were being killed by the Nazis, he moved his family to Holland in 1933. When the Nazis invaded even Holland, he moved his family into hiding. Hev was much loved and respected by his Dutch business colleagues. They helped him prepare the annex and kept it supplied with food even at the risk of their own safety. Mr Frank readily accepted the van Daans and Dussel into the small annex. He was a truly wise man and a loving father. He was the only member of the annex to survive the war.

Anne's Father, Otto Frank was a practical and kind man. He was born on May 12, 1889 in a wealthy Frankfurt Family.

He was loving and caring father whom everyone respected. He made a living by selling chemical products and provisions until the family was forced to stay in the hiding in 1942.

The moment received by him a call-up notice, he started making preparation for a secret hiding after discussing it with a few people. He always Planned well before jumping in to a situation. Shifting the secret to annexe is a good example for his plan.

A quick action took by him and promptly followed it. Before leaving, he even left a note for his landlord to take good care of their cat, moortje, which they were leaving behind.

Like all fathers, He also loved his daughter too much and wanted to give her well education. Somehow he managed to get books for his daughters as he wanted them to read and have good knowledge of the world around them. Otto was a only a single member of the family who survived the war and lived until 1980.
