The first picture is Dow's process of phenol preparation

The general method for the preparation of phenols is as follows(Dow's process) . When chlorobenzene is heated with caustic soda at 3000C and 200 atm pressure, sodium phenoxide is formed which on acidification produces phenol. A diazonium salt gives phenol when warmed in presence of water.

The second picture is Cumene process of phenol preparation

Cumene is air oxidized in presence of Cobalt naphthenate in alkaline medium to form cumene hydroperoxide ,which on heating in presence of dilute sulphuric acid form phenol along with acetone. ... Cumene hydroperoxide is protonated by acid,and then electron deficient oxygen containing intermediate is obtained.
