poem on A DAY WITHOUT MOBILE
Explanation:
Every day the same thing begin,
When I'm sitting on the bed,
rub my eyes to pings
Then scroll down posts while still on bed.
My room still finds me "browsing" on my mobile when I'm having fun
Though, I'll get to all places- mobile by default in my hand!
My phone was sent last night to the service centre.
Was incomplete - as if 'mobile-less' was being 'job-less!'
As if an important part of my life had paused!
The lack of news and notifications held my mind
So blank that I felt "uncluttered" in reality.
The "online mesh" job, which caused me to forget
About having enough time with me
It was so quiet, so different one night without my cell.
I I can't recall not going to bed for a long time
With a quiet and uncluttered mind.
I remember I must reverse my behaviour
Of checking on my phone for every single pop-up!
I also realize I need to take some time-out for "myself "
Each day and do nothing- Just connect with myself
"No-ping-for-so-long" unexpectedly catches my attention.
And I feel the "pangs of separation again"!!
The dependence must have been very strong!
