Every end has a beginning

We work and live,

Have family and friends,

Each hour, minute, and day,

Takes a step towards death.

Many cower and fear,

The grasp of it's,

Cool winter hand.

Pulling us from the world,

And into the great unknown,

Pulling us to an existence,

We fear in spite of not knowing.

But every end,

Has a new beginning,

So who's to say we won't go on to greater things.

A land of which we desire,

And new adventure,

A new land to travel,

A new life to live.

So when people ask,

Aren't you scared of death,

I crack a smile.

Why fear an unknown,

Why fear the leap of faith,

Death is a release,

That many people fear.

Though I wish for a long life,

To have a family and live while I can,

I don't fear the unknown.

Something in me deep down,

Leads me to no longer fear,

But to embrace,

Embrace with open arms.
