Guru Tegh Bahadur ( who founded the Sikh religion and the leader of Sikhs from 1665 until his beheading in 1675. He was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India in 1621 and was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh guru. Considered a principled and fearless warrior, he was a learned spiritual scholar and a poet whose 115 hymns are included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the main text of Sikhism.

have been being torn asunder

The Guru became distressed

and stricken in mind

whilst Gobind Rai, slightly nine

walked in from the back

Amidst the Brahmins

sat his lots concerned dad

Gobind Rai checked out him

and said "you do seem unhappy"

" the earth is heavy

with tyranny and dread

a sacrifice is needed

of a first-rate and noble head"

The courageous lad responded

relieving his dad´s tension

" who's higher than you

for a venture of this dimension"

Brahmins have been advised

to offer Aurangzeb a bid

each person shall take delivery of Islam
