                                 I Remember…

 

I remember I went to the mountains to find succour

From the scorching heat of June summer;

Mountains were beautiful and serene,

Painted with a color divinely green.

The heat of the plains was cooled by rain

That fell from the sky and we welcomed it fain.

The scenic beauty around our hotel was infinite,

Our eyes never got tired looking at it;

In the evening pleasantness we went to a temple,

Prayed to the deity and received blessings ample.

A day in the lap of nature filled the heart with elation;

Mind,  body, and soul were refreshed with rejuvenation.

I remember walking up the mountain in Rogtang, where the breeze was cool and strong.

A hot cuppa tea and a cuppa maggi was enough for us to go ding a dong.

I remember walking down the hill, where I finally came across jack and jill.

They were cute siblings who taught us trekking down the hill, and they fed us with water chill.
