Gossips very nature brings along danger. Gossiping is only a lead to emotional and social problems. A person gossiping will only have negative outcomes; no good comes out of gossiping. Gossiping could even possibly turn a teenager's high school years into a nightmare. Cruel words can be hard on any teenager. People risk losing friendships, jobs, attention on school, and family's trust.
High school is one of the most important and exciting times of our lives. When gossip goes wrong it can change everything. Gossiping can take your attention off school and you need to be fully focused while at school learning. Some teens dread coming to school because of what people are gossip about. When people talk they sometimes don't get their facts straight and go tell their friends something wrong. Their friends tell their friends and it's just a large untrue cycle. Violence is a large factor in gossip also. If one is talking about another, an uncontrolled teen may take matters in their own hands without thinking about the consequences. For fighting at school a person could be suspended, arrested, or even get hurt severely. .
Friendships could be lost due to gossiping and it could cause a person many social problems. If you talk about a close friend and they find out your most likely to lose that person's trust. Everyone needs to trust their friends. If one thinks that a friend has lied to them, who can one trust? Talking about people and their business can cause so many problems between friends. It can even hurt relationships. Everyone needs someone to be with in life. It all has to do with trust. Reputations could be hurt and never forgotten by people talking and spreading rumors that may not be true. .
Gossip could seriously hurt someone so badly that they turn to depression. Saying things about one another could cause many problems for someone. When people get depressed, they might have to go to the doctor to get help.
