The heaps of unattended garbage has grown to the limit where it poses a serious threat to mankind.
The wastes have become non-degradable, which causes them to exist for years. The toxic wastes if not disposed of properly stays in the pile of waste and continues to degrade in that particular area, thereby spreading on the toxicity. Space consumed by unattended waste is enormous, to an amount that cannot be spared by overcrowded metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
Something has to be done to combat this situation. Many NGOs and other private organizations and startups are coming forward with new revolutionised techniques to reuse or dispose of the waste, instead of disposing on land. Waste treatment methods have evolved considerably, so they should be employed in the field as efficiently as possible. The Government should support all these programmes due to the urgency of the situation,
