MERI College – LITERARY CLUB aims to develop analytical and creative thinking skills. It offers opportunities to appreciate different types of literature and increase their own literary skills. The Literary Club aims at not only refining the literary skills of the students but also developing in them logic and curiosity to know more and to instill in them a confidence to speak well. It is a club made for people who love literature, and want to share their experiences, readings and thoughts with others who have the same interest and talent .

ACTIVITIES :

There would be gamut of activities for MBA, MCA, PGDM and B.Tech students like generation of electronic newsletter on a fortnightly basis to update the students on management news in all functional areas, reviews of books that may invoke interest among other students as well as recommend good books to be procured by the college library. The activities of this club in the institute also involve the creation of written materials in various forms such as short stories, serial stories, poetry, essays, articles, etc which could be used for Sukriti display boards etc like “QUOTE OF THE WEEK” ,POEM OF THE WEEK , etc on display boards . Also competitions like extempore, debates , case study presentation etc can be conducted for the students of MBA, MCA, PGDM and B.Tech batches.

Alumni Talk – Under the aegis of placement department of MERI an “alumni talk” session was held on 7/11/2015 for the students of mba b atch with hr specialization by ms ritika working in skope consultancy.the areas of discussion in the session were: working in a consultancy, job description of a hr consultant, areas of growth oppurtunities beyond hr consultancy, challenges in a hr consultancy, how to choose an hr consultancy?. The session was attended by 25 students in hr.all together the session was a success with an informative open house session at the end. Such discussions and interactions add to the content of the club by promising mentors guiding the students of current batch for growth and success.
