by Pythagoras theorem,  

3^2+4^=5^2

So if we take, m^{2} - 1 = 16

m^{2} = 16 + 1 = 17

But the value of m will not be an integer.

Now we take, m^{2} + 1 = 16

m^{2} = 16 - 1 = 15

but the value of m will not be an integer.

If we take 2m = 16

then m = 8

Then m^{2} -1 = 64 - 1 = 63 and m^{2} +1 = 64 + 1 = 65.
