Take any even number like, 8 and square it, you get 64. Take 64 and divide it by 4, you get 16. Take 16 add one to 16 and subtract one from 16 and you will get the other two numbers in the Pythgorean triple. 8, 15, 17.

8^2 + 15^2 does it = 17^2 ?

64 + 225 = 289
