write a Pythagorean triplet whose one member is 6??? need solution with easy way...?

NightFury: For any natural number m > 1, we have (2m) ² + (m2 – 1)²= (m2 + 1)² . So, 2m, m² – 1 and m² + 1 forms a pythagorean triplet

Let  2m = 6
 m = 3

m²+ 1 = 3² + 1= 9 + 1 = 10

m²- 1 = 3 2 - 1 = 9 - 1 = 8

check:

6 ² + 8² = 36 + 64 = 100 = 10²

Hence, the triplet is 6, 8 & 10

Heya!
--------

========================================================

▪A Pythagorean Triplet Consists of three members such that the Square of the largest member is equal to the Sum of Square of the other two members . This can be written as ,

a² = b² + c²

▪The Members of a Pythagorean Triplet are represented by -

=> 2m , m² - 1 and m² + 1

===============================

◾Here , 2m = 6

=> m = 3 ✔

=> m² - 1

=> (3)² - 1

=> 8 ✔

=> m² + 1

=> (3)² + 1

=> 10✔

⭐Hence the Member are 6 , 8 and 10 .

We know that the other members like this

6² = h² (hypotenuse square) - b² (any variable)    [note:h² comes first because hypotenuse is always the biggest among these three]

36 = (h+b) (h-b)

36 = 36 x 2  ( if a is odd, we take h- b = 1, & if a is even h-b is taken 2)

Now, since h- b = 2 , so h & b are alternate consecutive numbers.

so the triplets are alternate consecutive numbers which means that they leave a gap of one number

so  the order goes like

6-8-10 (here they are leaving 7 and 9)

checking

6² + 8² = 10²

36 + 64 = 100
