Let, n = 8

Therefore, 2n = 2×8 = 16

 {n}^{2}  - 1 =  {8}^{2}  - 1 = 64 - 1 = 63

 {n}^{2}  + 1 =  {8}^{2}  + 1 = 64 + 1 = 65
