Let 2x be 9.

therefore, x =9/2

II member=x^2-1

                =9/2^2-1

                =27/4-1

                =(27-4)/4

                =23/4

III member=x^2+1

                 =9^2+1

                 =27/4+1

                 =(27+4)/4

                 =31/4

Therefore, the first member is 9, second is 23/4 and third is 31/4.
