Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one … square your limits

7^2 = 49

8^2 = 64

Step two … write down any decimal number less than 1 that ends in 2, 3, 7 or 8. For example your birthday.

Step three … pick any number greater than or equal to 49 and less than 64, add your decimal number, then write that sum including the square root radical. You will end up with an irrational number between 7 and 8.

My brother was born on February 8th, 1953, so I will use 0.020 81953 as my decimal. My irrational numbers between 7 and 8 could be  49.02081953−−−−−−−−−−√  or  63.02081953−−−−−−−−−−√  , etc.

Because my decimal ends with a 3, the square root has to be irrational because no perfect square ends in a 3, or 2, or 7, or an 8.
