and y = 3
then a rational number= (x+y)/2
now,
=(2+3)/2
=5/2
=2.5
and y = 3
then a rational number= (x+y)/2
now,
=(2+3)/2
=5/2
=2.5

√2 = 1.414......
√3 = 1.732....
Hence, rational number between 1.414 and 1.732 ......will be infinity .
But for shake of convenient we take it as 1.414 as 1.4 and 1.732 as 1.7
Now , you can find out rational number between 1.4 and 1.7 .
= 1.5 and 1.6
Just learn the value of Root .
