Answer:mass number = atomic number + number of neutrons

Explanation: actually mass number is equal to the sum of no of protons/electrons and number of Neutrons. As no. Of protons or electrons is the atomic number the above relation is correct

if we don't consider exceptions then

odd atomic number has mass no. = (n×2) +1

example: sodium , atomic number is 11

so mass = (11 ×2) +1

= 23

even atomic no. has mass no. = n×2

example: magnesium, atomic number is 12

so mass = 12×2

= 24

this works best for first 20 elements.
