According to the home mister of india, several thousand villages across the state had been hit and 390 villages had been completely submerged. In actual figures 2600 villages were reported to be affected in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 390 villages in Kashmir were completely submerged. 1225 villages were partially affected and 1000 villages were affected in Jammu DivisionMany parts of Srinagar, including the Border Security Force (BSF) HQ in Sanant Nagar & Army cantonment in Badam Bagh, were inundated, and vital roads were submerged, by the floods.
so,Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi offered an assistance of 745 crore (US$120 million) to the state government, this was in addition to 1100 crore (US$170 million) already earmarked for the disaster.Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Chief Minister of Telangana announced an aid of 10 crore (US$1.6 million) each from the chief minister's relief fund for the rescue and relief for Jammu and Kashmir flood victims, in addition to that Government of Telangana has also announced to send 50 water purifiers worth 2.5 crore (US$390,000) for safe drinking water for flood affected areas. Also, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, announced an assistance of 5 crore (US$790,000) each and appealed to the people to come forward and help those in need.

FLOODS IN JAMMU & KASHMIR ;) According to the news ,Torrential rains have caused massive destruction and severe distress in the state of Jammu and Kashmir with several fatalities and large numbers displaced. Several houses,especially in low lying areas, have been washed away or entirely damaged. More than 2500 major and minor roads have been damaged, numerous footbridges washed away and more than 100 motorable bridges damaged. There has been a major communication and power breakdown due to transformers and towers being damaged. An estimated 19,00,000 people in 2600 villages and towns, have been affected in the floods, and an estimated 543,000 displaced people, many of whom have returned to their homes, are still in extreme distress, particularly the children, women and aged . Access routes are gradually being restored and the rescue operations need to be followed up with immediate relief measures to prevent any further anguish for the victims.
