Answer:

A painting exhibition, ‘The Last Leaf’ was held on Boring Road recently. Organised on the theme ‘the hope of reincarnation’, the event saw a participation of over 18 artists. Ankita Raj, the head of the organisation, said, “This exhibition has been organised with a motive to encourage the city-based painters. It is also a platform for budding artists like us to showcase their talents. I am happy to see visitors are appreciating these painters and their works. My paintings, themed on ‘Dead and alive’, ‘Innocence of Kaali’ and ‘Lakshmi Bhawan’ are being appreciated by art enthusiasts. This is motivating for us and soon we will organise an art carnival in Patna.”

Another attraction was a painting done by Priya Ranjan. The artist used charcoal to make the painting. Anushka Prakash’s painting ‘The Peace’ depicted Buddha as the epitome of peace and harmony. The paintings of Kumar Gautam were also loved by visitors. Aaditya Kumar Singh exhibited his urban sketches, which depicted different buildings of the state. Lori Pandey’s paintings were also interesting. She said, “Three of my painting were exhibited, including Mandala artwork, Madhubani painting and another related to mythology. I am very happy to get such a platform to display my efforts. Indian folklores inspire me to paint.”

It was a treat for the art enthusiasts of the city. Sapna, a college student, said, “I liked all the paintings as each one was made with a different vision. It had a lot to say about our culture, tradition and about the city. Such events motivate budding artists like us.”
