Cloud burst is a sudden heavy rain falling for a short period of time in a small area.Uttarakhand is a disaster prone area that was hit by Cloud burst on August 05, 2018. During past few years local people residing here have become familiar with the term cloud burst. Midway during the rains of 2018 there have been several of cloud burst event across the state. Several vehicles were trapped under the debris and mud flushed down the roads. Highways were blocked for a long amount of time. The incident also left several water supply lines and access ways to many villages disrupted.Cowsheds and several homes were damaged. Causing blackout and electricity was shut for the entire 24 hours. Houses were collapsed and few people were injured in the incident
